
If you are marketing your own business or marketing for clients, there are an ample number of free tools that can make your job easier. My five favorite website tools are all free although they do offer paid upgrades for more robust data. Whether I’m writing a blog or new social media content, or researching keywords, these are my “go-to” helpers. Check them out:
This must-have takes your headline and analyzes it for power words, readability, and search. It also links to a host of word banks to provide suggestions on improving your headline and show how your headline is scanned. There is an upgrade version that will provide an SEO score along with suggestions to elevate your grade.
This tool is designed by Neil Patel, a highly respected expert in the digital world. I recommend you subscribe to his daily emails if you want to be smarter than your competition. This gem provides keyword analytics along with competitive analysis. You may also create projects. The basic tool is free; you can upgrade starting at $29/month.
This site has great information along with multiple assists to help you breeze through your projects. My favorite is the free Website Grader that gives a score based on site performance, SEO, mobile, and security. For each section, it reviews the positive and negative aspects along with improvement recommendations listed by priority. There are free courses that will teach you how to achieve results heads above your competition.
Yoast
If you work in Word Press you need this free plug-in. Yes, there is an upgrade, however I find the basic free tool gives you plenty to improve your skills. You will have free access to training, daily tips, help with your site indexing, fixes background tech stuff, and much more.
This kick-butt site offers free keyword suggestions for your industry category. It also shows volume search for keywords, CPC, competitive, and even assists with design display ads. That’s awesome.
